Tully Family Church Brief History

The origins of  lie in the fellowship of Christians in the area in the early 1960s. Meetings, and the church, began in 1964 led by Ps John Luscombe. In 1977, Ps Brian and Ada Henaway became the first full time Pastors leading the Church for 14 years.

Meeting places up to this time included the CWCA Hall in Plumb Street, the ‘Igloo’ (Bryant Street) and the Tully State Primary School Assembly Hall. In 1987, Tully Family Church moved to 74 Butler Street, the old Plaza Cinema and remained there for 20 years.

In 1991, Rob and Sue Magarey were invited to Pastor the Church and have remained in this position since then.
